Deli GOLDSCHMIDT

Deli Goldschmidt was one of 13 children of Bendix Ruben Goldschmidt of Berlin.  Her ancestor Esther Hameln or Esther Goldschmidt was Glueckel of Hameln's sister-in-law.  She and her husband Juda Loeb Hannover, aka Levin Bendix Goldschmidt, are mentioned in Glueckel's memoirs.  Deli's sister Bella Betty is my ancestor.  Deli's number in Breslau was transferred because after her husband's death, she moved back to Berlin and lived with her parents, where she's enumerated in her father's household in one of the reports on the households of General Privileged Jews.  There is, however, no mention of her children.  Bendix Ruben Goldschmidt lived in Berlin under his wife's privlege:  Leib Levin had obtained [no doubt for services rendered, but the precise nature of same has apparently not been recorded] a highly unusual residence permit:  residence in Berlin for himself, his children their spouses and all their descendants in perpetuity.  As it was, 'perpetuity' was less than 200 years... - Irene Newhouse
