Descendants of Israel Jacob Wolff PEIERLS

Israel Jacob Wolff Peierls is one of my ancestors. Two brothers, Meyer and Juda Wolff, also lived in Breslau, but were not Stamm-Numeranten. The name was also spelled Peirels on into modern times, and formerly y, with or without an Umlaut, occasionally replaced the i. The information below has been pieced together from a series of LDS microfilms from Breslau, though names without dates come from other sources, of which the most important is the family history of Emma Fraenkel-Brann. Meyer Wolff Peierls seems not to have had children. Juda Wolff did. The physicist Sir Dr. Rudolf Peierls is probably one of his descendants. –Irene Newhouse

Since Berlin death records of his time do not give the father’s name, I cannot prove they’re the same person, hence the "?". Peierls is, however, an extremely rare name.
