Performances Attended
Here is a list of the productions I have attended along with a partial listing of cast and company. If I had to pick the two highlights from the list, at this point it would be Elektra and Lulu.
Behrens has been getting decidedly mixed reviews lately, but I thought that she was wonderful as Elektra that evening (great acting, solid high notes - very exciting), and to get to hear Karita Mattila live was another thrill.
The performance of Lulu was my first trip to Glyndebourne, and it was almost a perfect day - good weather, good food and drink, Christine Schäfer heading a great cast, and the conducting of Andrew Davis. The whole experience was unforgettable.
