The thing about Sunset Beach is that I'd heard it was the only beach from which one can view the sunset to the horizon all year round. I thought that was neat, so I decided to photo-document the fact. However, the fact proved to be fiction.

We were doing very well with summer and fall. At top left is the summer solstice, to its right is the autumn equinox. But when the winter solstice rolled around and we traveled the North Shore to have a look, we found Kaene Point intruding on the horizontal view. Still, it's one of the best beach areas around, and usually more secluded than the touristy south island locations, like Waikiki Beach.
