David Centers
euphonium

David A. Centers is a freelance euphonium player in the Greater Louisville metro area. He has performed as solo euphonium in various ensembles including the Commonwealth Brass Band, UofL Orchestra and Symphony Band, and Derby City Tuba Quartet. David is also a founding member and driving force behind the Derby City Brass Band. In addition to performing, he has taught middle school band in southern Indiana for three years as well as kept a studio of euphonium, tuba, and trombone students. He performs on a Willson 2900S.

David graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Louisville School of Music with a BME and was named the Outstanding Graduating Senior of 1996. In 1997, David made the final round of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band auditions. Past teachers include Earle Louder, Morehead State University, and John Jones, University of Louisville.

David is currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering from the Speed Scientific School at the University of Louisville.
