Set List

Concert Review:

I was rather dubious at the start of the concert as I'd heard so many rumours of what had been wrong with Meat Loaf (and what treatment he had received) that I was very concerned with how his voice would sound but I needn't have worried as it was a strong as ever (certainly considerably stronger than he sounds at the end of a tour!).

It almost seemed like the beginning of the tour again to me as all the band seemed to have the first show enthusiasm that they displayed in Aberdeen. Kasim especially was back to doing some high (okay medium) kicks at the start of the concert. He wore his usual long black leather coat, black trousers and his purple shirt that suits him so well. Unfortunately a beard has made a re-appearance! In this concert, as well as Kasim singing his usual first verse of Honky Tonk Woman, we were also treated to Last Train to Clarksville with Kasim singing lead again!

European audiences seem to get into concerts more than UK (and US!) audiences (I don't know if it's because they tend to be mainly standing rather than seated venues or whether it's a cultural thing) so the crowd really got rocking right from the start which I'm sure must have lifted Meat Loaf as all in all it was a brilliant concert.
