Poem Portraits

for

Friends

True Friend
I know of nothing quite so grand...As just to have a friend
...A person who can understand...Whatever thoughts I send
...An individual who tries... to help in every way...Who
has the heart to sympathize...Whenever clouds are gray...
The one who criticizes me...When I am really wrong...And
somehow makes it seem to be ...As pleasant as a song...
The kind of person who will come...In answer to my call...
Without expecting any sum...Or compliment at all...The one
who means his word of praise...For some good deed I do ...
And in so many other ways...Confirms a friendship true.
