A Child Should Pray
Whatever else a child may learn...It should be taught to
pray... In loving gratitude to God... For every night and day
...For sunlight and for beauty and... For every breath of air
... A happy home and parents good... Who give the
best of care... It is the rightful heritage... Of every child to
know... There is a life beyond this world... To which we
all must go... To understand the right from wrong... And which
provides the path... To happiness in Heaven or... To God's
eternal wrath... Throughout each wakeful moment in... The
home at school, or play... A child should learn the word of
God... And what it means to pray.
