Nadezhda Vasilyevna Pavlova was born in 1956. Studied at the Perm State Ballet School, graduated in 1974. While at school she toured with the Perm Theater and at fifteen won the gold medal in the USSR All-Union Ballet Competition in Moscow. Just before the American tour in 1973 Pavlova had taken the Grand Prize at the Second International Ballet Competition in Moscow.
In 1975 she appeared in the American film "The Blue Bird". At the same year Nadezhda Pavlova was suggested to the Bolshoi Ballet as a new exceptional soloist of the company. It meant a recognition of her All-Union and world fame.
Pavlova was successful during the Bolshoi's International tours to Great Britain, France, Germany, USA and over 40 countries.
In 1984 Nadezhda Pavlova was awarded the title of the People's artist of the USSR. After she graduated the Russian Academy of Arts (GITIS) in the same year as a ballet tutor she gave master-classes in Germany, Japan, France, Finland.
In 1992-1994 Pavlova became the artistic director of Nadezhda Pavlova's Ballet Company. 1995 - artistic director of the Renaissance-Ballet Company. She served on a jury of the International ballet competitions in Luxemburg and Hong Kong.
At the present moment Nadezhda Pavlova is staring in both classical and modern ballet production and also teaching young dancers of the Bolshoi Ballet company.
