The MIDI has exactly the same notes as the tab (e&oe). The
staccatos are there just as a mischievous reminder of the
keyboard arrangement - they're optional :)
The piece can be divided into 2 sections, the division point
being halfway thru bar 29 - each section being repeated once.
Some editions have the melody in the 2nd half of bar 31 (EBG#E)
repeat the melody from the 2nd half of bar 29 (BEG#E).
The doubled octaves in bars 65-69 are not present in all
editions - their inclusion here is perhaps ambitious -
therefore the original (simpler) version of this section is
appended, and may suffice for non-vituosi such as myself.
The tempo of the piano edition is a lively Allegro (116 bpm);
George Malcolm's scintillating harpsichord recording whizzes
along at approx 150 bpm (twice my suggested speed).
