"Some years ago I wrote several pieces for using with students and Hampton 
 Publishers  asked  if  they could use some of them for a collection to be
 published. Song  for a Gentle Maiden was originally titled SONG FOR HELEN
 because  I  wrote it for one of my students called Helen. The  publishers 
 were not keen on that title so they chose Gentle Maiden instead"
