Mission Date: 05-24-85
Mission Objective(s): Discover who is leaking specialized microchips capable of withstanding electromagnfication from a nuclear blast to the Russians.
Mission Status: Zorin, head of manufacturing of the chips, was behind the scheme and working with the KGB. Discovered Zorin planned to corner microchip market by flooding Silicon Valley. Scheme failed.
PRIMARY TARGET - MAX ZORIN
STATUS - Lost his footing on a bridge tower
The result of a German genetic experiment, Zorin (Christopher Walken)received a high intelligence quotient, but was also made psychotic. His scheme to monopolize microchip construction was first on his list, and he doesn't care what, or who, stands in his way. He has to win at everything, and that spirit eventually turned his lover, May Day, away from him.
SECONDARY TARGET - MAY DAY
STATUS - Just had to hold the brake release...
May Day (played by singer Grace Jones) is one tough woman. After she kills one of Bond's associates, she makes a death defying leap from the Eiffel Tower. She then kills Tibbett later on, and almost kills Bond, had it not been for his resorcefulness. Later, she makes the attempt again, but this time it's Zorin who foils her attempt by flooding the San Andreas Fault. She realizes that Zorin was only using her, and she brings an end to his plan, along with herself.
ASSOCIATE - STACEY SUTTON
STATUS - Unknown(Last seen with 007>
A geologist working for the state of California, Stacey (Tanya Roberts) doesn't really do anything. She basically figures out what Zorin's plan involving Silicon Valley is, due to her background in geology. More or less, though, she's just extra baggage to Bond, getting captured by Zorin near the end. She does do a rather good job of driving a fire truck through San Francisco, but otherwise, she's the most dependent Bond girl of them all.
