THE CROSS OF BLACK AND GOLD
Upon the battlefield a banner flies.
It is a cross of black and gold,
Upon it’s field of purple.
what meaning does it hold?

The cross, it stands for piety
that in our hearts we hold.
With all the creeds of chivalry
we learned from knights of old.

Gold is for our honor
without tarnish, pure and bright.
A reminder that we always strive
to do that which is right.

Black is for ferocity
and a vow to never yield,
to fight with honor and with skill
upon the battle field.

The purple of the tapestry
upon which the cross is flown.
For the loyalty to king and crown
that we have always shown.
