What have you been up to??

If you would like to let your fellow classmates know what you've been doing since graduation, here's a simple form you can fill out...

Carla Avellino (Hoffman) (1984)After graduation did the college thing. Got married, got divorced, got remarried to a GREAT GUY, John. I have a beautiful step daughter, Heather who's five. In 1997 my husband and I started C.J.'s Bus Service. We transport Special Education students to/from school. Today we have 20 school buses transporting all over Gloucester, Salem and Cumberland Counties. It has been a real joy. It's amazing how you write in your yearbook what you think the future will hold for you and then you get a reality check. I never thought I would be a SCHOOL BUS DRIVER!!!

Joe Darby (1984)What's up people! Did you miss me? Lets see...After graduation i took a job as a typesetter for a publishing house in Bellmawr (remember the California job case?) This was before the time of desktop publishing. My computer was as big as a desk but only had a 5" green screen. After that I worked for a few years in the Art department of the Courier Post newspaper. Later, I became a Pre-Press technician for a printing service bureau (dont ask, its very complicated). Today I work as a Graphics Applications Specialist for the Hal Lewis Group, a large Center City Philly Advertising Agency specializing in Healthcare (Merck, Berlex, Smithkline Beecham and the like). In 1990 I started an Independent Record Lable called "Screaming Fetus" where i managed and produced heavy metal bands. I released 3 records before that scene fell flat. I've been playing bass for quite a few bands over the years. Most notably "Freaks Arise". Today I'm with a group called "Mythology Bullfinch". Kind of a 70's hard rock vibe (Deep Purple meets Genesis meets The Who sort of thing). We have a 16 track digital recording studio in Oaklyn and have just finished recording our second CD called "TheAgeofFable" Come out at see us sometime! Anyway ... that's about it in a nutshell. Send me an e-mail if ya like, I'd love to hear from ya! p.s. GREAT JOB ON THE SITE STEVE!

After having several LOW paying jobs I decided to try college and two years later had an Associates in Applied Science. Maria Crisci (Macaluso) (1984) After graduation, I attended Peirce Junior College for a two-year program in Business Education. I worked in a few offices, mainly in Philadelphia, and in 1991 settled in with an actuarial firm in Center City, where I worked for five years. In 1988, I met my husband, Ray, who is the brother of Fred Macaluso, while I was visiting Fred. We began dating and in May of 1993, we were married. Our daughter Rachael was born in June of 1994 and our son Michael followed in September of 1995. In August of 1998, we had a third child, a son Brian, but unfortunately, Brian passed away three weeks after his birth from a severe infection. We are expecting our fourth child due October of this year. I have been a homemaker since my second child was born and Ray works as a mailman for the Deptford Post Office. He also has his own roofing and chimney business, which we manage together. We are currently living in Bankbridge in Wenonah.

Jane Dawson (Midgett) (1984) Woodbury NJ Hi everyone!! I just stumbled onto this neat website!! What a surprise!! What have I been up to? Well, I got married to a wonderful guy in 1988, dabbled with college and finally got an Associates in Education Degree that I don't use. I have worked at the Gloucester County Welfare Office in Sewell since 1986 starting as a clerk typist climbing the ranks to my current position as a Child Support Worker. Basically, I find dead beat Dads, and Moms, and take them to court to get them to pay child support. I find a lot of these people on the net!! Its pretty neat, actually. I had a beautiful little boy in January 1998 - I can't believe his is 2 already! But then again, I can't believe I just turned 34...EWWWW!! My husband is a restaurant manager for Ruby Tuesdaysat the Concord Mall in Wilmington. We spend summer vacation in Maine, and this year we are making our second tripto Key West - without Cameron (son) of course!

Bernice Ferris (Rhodes)(1984) ***new*** After graduation, I went on to Villanova University where I received my degree in Electrical Engineering. I got a job in Lexington Park,MD designing simulation models for avionics systems. While in MD, I met my husband Chris who is on active duty in the Navy. We were married in March 1991 and then transferred to Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City in 1992. At that time, I quit my job and started graduate school at Univ of Oklahoma. During the 3 and a half years in OKC, I received my Masters in Computer Science, dodged tornadoes and bombs, and most importantly..had my own Tinker Tornado, Lyndsay (age 5). In early 1996 we returned to MD for another 3 years. In that same year I had my second daughter, Abby (age 4). Since having my daughters, I have enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom. I stay busy with preschool, ballet lessons, gymnastics and soccer, but, I am looking forward to going back to work again real soon. Last year (1999) we moved back to OKC for Chris' final tour. When we leave here in 2002, we will return to MD or maybe NJ where Chris will retire from the Navy and find a "real" job.

Lisa Fowler (Koral) (1984) Endicott N.Y. Hello class of 84! Following graduation, I started working as a graphic designer. In July of 1986, I met my husband, John (on the beach, in Wildwood Crest!) He is from the area that we currently live, in upstate New York. We were married in May of 1990. John is an engineer for Lockheed Martin (he designs computers for government aircraft), and I am now a very busy, stay at home mom. I continued to work in the graphic design field after I married and moved upstate until our first daughter, Sarah was born in January 1993 (now 7 yrs.old) Our second daughter, Erin was born almost 3 years later in October 1995(now 4 yrs.old) and our most recent addition, our son Philip, was born in July 1999 (now 9 months old). I love being home with my kids. I am definitely busier now than I was when I was working full time. I still keep my hand in the graphic design field with various projects and someday hope to return to it. I keep very busy volunteering at my daughter's school, a mom's! group that I belong to and various activities that the kids are involved in. I still love to play softball and have been on a fast pitch women's team since I moved up here in 1990. I get back home about once a month to visit my family and I'm always amazed at how my hometown has grown! One thing I love about living upstate, is we still have "open fields" without a business district or housing complex built on it! Maybe I'll run into some of you sometime at Field of Dreams in West Deptford, it's my kids favorite place to visit when I'm back home!

Kim Marz (Gonzales) (1984) After graduation, I got married, had two children, Ashley 14 and Shane 9,then got divorced. Following my divorce, I continued my education, got remarried and landed a great job in Southern California. Ironically, thinking back to those high-school days, I work for a company that provides automated fingerprint identification systems, mugshot systems, and 911 emergency systems to law enforcement agencies around the world. I have held several positions such as Customer Support Supervisor, but most recently a Software Integration Engineer. I never thought in a million years that I would be working FOR the police, the FBI and the Secret Service!

Jim Nahas (1984) 18 Country Road Perkasie PA After graduating HS I went to Temple U. (living in the dorms in Ambler, PA)and pretended to get a higher education. '96 we had our first son Alec and not finding it challenging enough, we had our second son David in Feb. '99. Six months after being "downsized" I stared my own company - Residential Telephone Wiring - which has grown steadily for the last 2.5 years. It is just myself and I sell and install phone, data & cable lines, security systems, satellite systems, home theaters and whole house audio/video products for new construction custom homes. I enjoy keeping in touch with my family and friends on the PC (when my little ones let me sit down). I also love to be with my closest friends that I have been with forever through good times and bad......... Martha Finegan and Kathy Menges.......love you both!By the way......... Robyn Goslin (Finnimore)(1985) ***new*** New Castle DE. What a great site!! Well, after graduation, I went off to Goldey Beacom College in Delaware and graduated with an Associate Degree in 1987 and got engaged. After that engagement got broken off, I met Robert at what used to be Gallaghers (on Route 45 in Woodbury Heights) in 1989. It was truly love at first site. We got married in 1991 and moved to Delaware. In 1999 we finally adopted a great little girl, Stella, who is now 3. She is a great joy in our lives. In fact, we will probably adopt another child sometime in 2001 -- Stella really wants a little brother or sister. In 1999 I graduated from Wilmington College with my Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management and hope to someday get into that field. I work for DuPont Pharmaceuticals Company as a Legal Secretary. I have been there for just about 10 years. Robert works for a construction company. My dad still lives in Thorofare and we visit often -- we have even been to the Field of Dreams -- which my daughter truly enjoys. I really enjoyed high school, even though I did not have a lot of friends, and sometimes miss it. I really hope that the Class of '85 has a reunion because I am looking forward to it!!

Becky Freels (Easton) (1977) **PICTURE** Ashland, KY. Hi guys! Even though I didn't actually get to graduate from WDHS, it still will always be the place that I SHOULD have graduated from. Instead, my parents had to drag me off the Ga. Well, I've done several jobs over the years. Finally settled on being a 911 Dispatcher. Yeah...I know...those of you who knew me probably are wondering how some degenerate like me could have ever passed a drug-test. Well, I did...so there! I have a step-son who lives in NY and has made me a grand-mother WAY before my time! I also have a son who is 10 and very smart... just like mom! Been married for over 20 years. Can't say it's been perfect, but he's still keeping me. For the sadder details, if any of you care and don't know. I lost 2 of my sisters...Kathy and Jeannie. I also lost my dad. The family is kinda small now. Mom, Cindy and Teddy (or TJ as he prefers) are still living in Ga. It would be cool to hear from some of ya. You can write me at angel3803_1999@yahoo.com I'm on ICQ, AOL and Yahoo messenger also. And Yes...I still talk to Diane Felty every now and then. She's been doing great the last I heard. Oh...and Cindy...Magee....Why doesn't it surprise me that you get dirty e-mails from Tom and Jim? Ha! Tell them I said Hi...and that I forgive. They know what I mean. I'm sure the whole class does by now. Life happens, ya know?
