The Fredrick Extended Family Payment Block

One of the early features of the club was the the Fredrick extended family payment block, now a mere shadow of its former glory. In its heyday, the Fredrick payment block included four Fredrick siblings, a Barton and a Blackwood. (If they'd ever voted the same way, we could call them a voting block, but they didn't, so we call them a payment block.) Winners of the Treasurer's Award for Most Convoluted Transaction Involving a Single Check and Most Convoluted Transaction Involving Multiple Checks for two years running, the Fredrick Extended Family Payment Block is a Loot Lizard Legend.

So where did they all go?

One got tired of driving an hour from Warren, another left because he was a student, wanted to get his car fixed and really needed the money, and two bailed to pursue each other (and when that didn't work, pursued outside interests). This left only a single Fredrick and a Barton, who in the midst of all the turmoil decided not to be single and got married.

The Loot Lizards banded together and gave them a lovely box of lizards, a bottle of Black Velvet and a picture of Elvis for a wedding present. The Fredrick-Barton payment block bought a lovely house for their two cats to live in, and since the cats can't work the can opener and don't like to grocery shop, they graciously allow the Fredrick-Barton Payment Block to live with them.

The matriarch of the Fredrick clan recently became a Loot Lizard, so we're looking forward to a revival of the Fredrick Payment Block soon!

In July of 1999, the Fredrick-Barton payment block (aka "Those Rat Bastards") decided to move to Colorado, leaving as our only Fredrick-Bartons Heidi's mom and dad.
