Atlantis has been involved in the areas of international finance and investments since 1975 when J. T. Shanks began independent financing after a career with Associates of North America, a Fortune 50 company.

From 1974-1977, J.T. Shanks was President and owner of an equipment leasing company which developed one of the first Equipment Asset Backed Securitization Programs in the US. From 1977 to present Mr. Shanks has been CEO of Atlantis Investments, Inc., and serves many organizations with executive management capacities in a wide variety of joint ventures.
