"MODPREZ" E-Mail Discussion Group

"MODPREZ" is a closed internet "chat" group, or list, for students in HST341/PSC329. Because it is a closed list, you must be subscribed by the instructors in order to participate, so be sure you have given your e-mail address to Prof. Thompson or JP Chung so they can activate your subscription.

Once you are subscribed, you will be able to send messages to everyone else on MODPREZ, as well as to read what others have written. The address to which you should send your postings is: MODPREZ@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU

Through this list, you will receive regular course-related notices from MST and JPC, news bulletins and summaries, and other announcements. Other activity on the list is up to you! Feel free to pass along relevant items that you encounter, to raise questions about course matters or current political goings on, or other topics that you think will be of interest to persons in the class. [These should be relevant to the focus of this course....] MODPREZ is a place to continue discussions that begin in class, or to comment on current events. While you should feel free to express yourself, please do NOT engage in flaming, personal attacks, or obscenity. Persons who disregard these minimal guidelines may find their posting privileges suspended, either temporarily or permanently.

Please note that you will not receive copies of your own messages unless you explicitly set your subscription to ask for them. To do this, send a message to: LISTSERV@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU [Note that this is not the same address as the one above--this is important!] Leave "subject" blank. In the message area, write only: SET MODPREZ REPRO

For further info on "listserv" commands (in other words, ways to control or manage your subscription), please see the "welcome" message that you should receive when your MODPREZ subscription is activated.
