Recently, I have received complaints that I have neglected to include certain women from certain areas of the world on this page. I am sorry if any feels that I have purposely not included women in this list. That is not my intention at all. I am the only person maintaining this site and thus the only one doing research for it. This list grows every month- I wish I had time to add women weekly or even dayly. I am very aware that there are more women from the western hemisphere (and even the northern hemisphere for that matter) than from other regions of the world. I am trying to include women of different colors, cultures, successes, backgrounds AND nationalities. This is a major undertaking!! There are so many women who have done so many incredible things that I will always have someone to add to this list.
I encourage all visitors to send me information about incredible women to add to my site. Please note the year and particular event she is known for. I am trying to highlight a particular woman and event, not an entire lifetime (no matter how great). I have found that just having the years of her life, her name and "she's great" or "she's a feminist" is not enough. I am trying to provide interesting tid-bits of information for people browsing the net. I want them to continue the search for knowledge on their own by researching the woman that interests them the most. This page is meant to be just a stepping stone.
