Quest for Camelot
Plot: The sword Excalibur is stolen. Kayley, daughter of deceased Sir Lionel, sets off to find the sword and return it to King Arthur. Along the way, she meets Garrett, a blind man who becomes her friend, and Devon and Cornwall, a two headed dragon.
A remarkable movie. Two thumbs up for this one. Probably a bit scary for very young children, especially one scene at the ~very~ end in which the bad guy disintegrates. But my son, who is five, loves it! Especially the two headed dragon.
Lion King II: Simba's Pride
Kiara, Simba's daughter, goes to explore the forbidden Outlands and befriends Kovu, Scar's chosen successor. The two grow up and meet again, but the rift between the Outlanders and the Pridelanders has also grown. Kiara and Kovu must mend this rift to be able to stay with one another.
Decent for being a sequel. Didn't like how it jumped from the cubs being young to being grown up. It creates a gap in the timing. Maybe that's just me. Otherwise, this is a great movie. Jeremiah especially likes the songs!
A Bug's Life
An anthill is terrorized by a gang of grasshoppers. Flik, a sort of outcast ant, volunteers to go and find help in the city. What he finds is a troope of circus performers...
Really cute movie. (Though I saw it from the second row of the theatre.) Not ~too~ scary for the little ones. And a really good story line... stick up for yourself and don't let yourself get bullied.
Prince of Egypt
Tracing the life of Moses from his trip upon the Nile to the exodus across the ocean floor.
This is an absolutely great movie!! A must see. Luckily, Jeremiah and I were two of eight people in the theatre. Realistic animation and wonderful effects. I don't know how to describe it! *laughs* All I can say is go see it! The only problem I had with the movie was explaining it to Jeremiah, who doesn't yet know the story of the Exodus. It was a bit difficult explaining what the different plagues were and why they were happening, especially the Angel of Death. Definately two thumbs up! More if I had them available!
