The Music Room
Hello. You've reached the music department. I listen to all kinds of music: rock, oldies, instrumental, Christian rock... Whatever strikes my fancy at the time. And if you haven't tried Christian rock yet, let me give advise you. It's comparable to whatever you would get on the radio today.
There are all types of Christian music groups out today, from rap to easy listening. My personal recommendations would be Jars of Clay, Point of Grace, Newsboys, Mustard Seed, or Smalltown Poets. They are easy on the ears and don't shove Jesus, God, or redemption down your throat. Point of fact, I didn't realize Jars of Clay ~was~ a Christian group until someone pointed it out to me. This is ~after~ I had bought the cd and listened to it several times. So try it...
Another favorite genre is what I call radio music. You know, that stuff that is most commonly heard on the radio today. Brandi, Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, Will Smith, Shawn Colvin, Bare Naked Ladies... get the picture yet? This is what I mostly listen to. Hey, I've got a car that only has a cassette player and I buy cds. Go figure. So I listen to the radio.
I also listen ~alot~ to country music. Just noticed it on my way home from school. Every song that came on,I knew the words to and sang along. Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, Tim McGraw, Jodee Masina, Reba McIntire...
Finally, I love to listen to Celtic instrumental music and Enya. Sometimes, they are both relaxing and calming. Other times, I just have to get up and dance... or jump around the room in a way that ~seems~ to be dancing. *laughs* Most recently I've heard the music from the animated movie "Quest for Camelot" (a must see!), set in the British Isles. Perfect for getting up and dancing to... well, you know what I mean.
OH! If you haven't had a chance to listen to The Bob and Tom Show, you ~are~ missing out. This is a radio show that is out of Indiana, and syndicated all over the world... No music except for parodies, original music and guest's music. They've had comedian/musicians Heywood Banks (Toast), Tim Cavanagh (The Piston's song), Todd Yahn (Feminine Hygiene Song), Time Wilson (1st Baptist Bar & Grill), Sean Morey (The Man song) and comedian/poet Paul Gilmartin (Tim the Diehard Packers Fan and also co-host of Dinner and a Movie on TBS) just to name a few. Check local listings at a comedy club near you...

I don't remember where I picked up the bars or background. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.
