Entry 1: Well, what to say. Mother believes that I should try for a dragon from the Karath Weyr hatching grounds. So, we went to the bazaar today and bought some supplies. I've now got enough soup and brushes to wash down the whole mountain. But I think I'll just do the cavern that I picked out. We also bought a supply of oil and sandsoap. Fireth uses more then I ever thought he would, so Mother made sure to buy plenty. Looking at the task ahead, I had better get started. |

Entry 2: Finally got all that dust and debris cleaned out! I couldn't believe how messy this place actually was! The wind really had a hey-day during the last storm. There were leaves and dirt blown in around the entranceway and every stray breeze must have just pushed the mess further into the cavern. Now all I've left to do is scrubb down the couch and set in the supplies so the animals don't get into them. |

Entry 3: I can't believe it! I found a clutch of firelizard eggs! Who would have thought. Looks like something got to them before me though. Most were broken open and smashed. I looked though the sands and found one that wasn't smashed. Must have been missed, though it was pretty much on the bottom of the pile. I've got it heating on some sand over a brazier. I just hope that the transfer from the beach to the sand here didn't harm it. |

Entry 4: I can't believe that I've actually hatched my own firelizard. Her name is Sebella and she's a green. *laughs* Just what we needed... another flighty green. She's beautiful! Her eyes just whirl in contentment whenever she's being held. She's grown enough to fly a bit and likes to perch on my shoulder when I'm doing my chores. Not that that is easy for her, with me bending over to pick up tools and such. But she's working on it. I wonder how she'll react to a dragon living in what she considers her weyr. |
