I just love reading little random facts about people! I like the quirky things that make them unique and the funny things that make me laugh when I realize how much we are alike when we get down past the labels and the surface of our personalities! With that in mind here are some of my random facts!
I tend to get along with men better than I do with women, even though I have a couple of close friends who are women. From an early age I was "one of the boys" and to this day I enjoy being with groups of men! I even seem to get along better with male bosses than I do female bosses!
When I was a child my favorite movie was the Wizard of Oz and my favorite character was the scarecrow. I felt that I could really relate to him and remember being 8 years old and getting all choked up during the scene where he gets his "heart". My second favorite character was the Lion!
My greatest fears are spiders and I have a fear of death - more than likely because I've seen a lot of it in my life time. I've grown out of, for the most part, my fear of heights.
I used to love going fishing with my father as a little girl.
When I was 9 years old I had the reading level of a college senior. My math abilities were that of a 5 year old! (some things never change grin)
I love eating chocolate chip cookie dough by the spoonful!
I never had a rubber duckie when I was a child so my husband bought me one when I was 30 years old. His name is Horatio, he was bought at a Boots in London, and he travels with me whenever I go out of town!
I started writing to pen pals when I was 12 years old - and I still enjoy writing to them.
I never saw the ocean until I was 19 years old!
My first pair of bell bottoms had HUGE bells - about 27 inches across - and was a VERY cool red and white checked pattern….I shudder to think about it now!
I have never had a nickname!
The only other place I would love to live is London, England.
I am en evening/night person - so much so that I hate to get up before 9AM and get my best work done between the hours of 10PM and 1AM!
I giggle every time I see Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau.
I love ritual of any kind - religious or political!
True Crime books intrigue me and I have a bit of a macabre streak!
On the other hand, I cannot watch violence on movies - especially horror movies!
Last but not least: One of my favorite things in the whole world is laughing and making people laugh...out loud...for a long time!
