A lot of people have written to me saying that they know a lot about my past but they want more specifics like where I was born and what I enjoy doing! It's funny but it seems like I would rather tell people the most intimate secrets of my life and leave out the vital details! Maybe it's that I think that it would be boring or perhaps I just don't like talking about myself in specifics!
Let's see…
When & Where I was born: I was born on July 4th, 1962 about 35 miles South of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am an only child and my parents are both deceased and have been for quite a long time. I look a lot like my mother and my grandmother. I currently live near Washington, DC and I LOVE it here!
Vital stats! I have very long blonde hair and big blue eyes. I stand about 5'7" and weigh 200-220 lbs. It varies all the time and since clothing manufacturers aren't so good at labeling clothing in a consistent manner (A pet peeve! A size 20 should be a size 20!) I wear anything from a size 18 to a size 22…and sometimes even a 24! I now don't even look at clothing sizes - I just try on something I think will fit and work from there! And if you MUST know I'm a 44D!
Religion: Neo-paganism , but I also go to the Unitarian Universalist church nearby at times.
Marital Status: I am married to a wonderful man named Dave and we were married on May 14, 1994! We are childless by choice but we do enjoy babysitting our friend's children and being role models for Dave's niece Fizzy. I am bi and looking for that right women, though!
Occupation:I work as an office manager for a large security company and I LOVE my job! Dave works as a technical writer/programmer for a large defense contractor. We both enjoy what we do but we don't make work our priority in life…we enjoy several different hobbies which I will talk about later!
Pets:I am owned by two cats - a 10 year old female calico named Cait. She is a gentle sweet cat and she is my first cat ever! Then there's Oberon a 3 year old brown and white (mostly white!) tabby who is a bundle of energy and never quits! He makes a great alarm clock!

Favorite places: London, England, St. Albans Hertfordshire, England and Kilkenny Ireland to name a few!
Foods: Anything ethnic - Indian, Thai, Ethiopian, and Lebanese are a few of my favorites. I love to eat out at great restaurants and also I LOVE to cook! Dinner anyone?
Music: Irish traditional, alternative rock, and classical are a few of my favorites, but I also like different ethnic types of music like Klezmer and African drumming. Some of my favorite groups and singers? Enya, Albion Band, U2, Peter Gabriel, Fairport Convention, REM, Silly Wizard, Steeleye Span, and many more!
Movies/TV: I don't watch a whole lot of TV, mostly Discovery Channel, History Channel and PBS stuff. I do love British comedy like Monty Python, Whose Line is it Anyway, Black Adder and more. For movies my taste varies - a few of my favorites are: Glory, A Fish Called Wanda, Michael Collins, The Crying Game and Schindler's List. I like British comedies, sappy romances and intense movies with a message…what a combination, huh?
Hobbies and interests:reading; (science fiction/fantasy, biographies, mystery, anything I can get my hands on about Ireland, the Celts, England and several different historical periods!); theater; travel; hiking; crafts (including cross stitch, making my own incenses and oils and putting together memory books), computer geek stuff, writing, herb lore, crystals, jewelry making, dancing, photography, shopping; writing to pen pals through snail mail (so old fashioned **grin!**), going to museums and much more.
Favorite artists: Rossetti, DeKooning, Motherwell, and Waterhouse. Alma Tadema, Van Gogh, etc. My favorite period of art is the Victorian Era - especially the Pre-Raphaelites with their use of vibrant colors, lush surroundings and beautiful women!
Favorite Authors: Charles DeLint, Terry Prachett, Steve Blamares, Ronald Hutton, Lindsay Davis and many more!
