When I Met You

When I met you
I met a happiness
uncomparable to any other,
and a contentment
endless in its depths.

When you hold me
I feel a warmth
unlike any on earth
and a light
that outshines the sun.

When I'm with you
I have emotions
stronger than any wind
and feelings
deeper than all the oceans.

When I see you
I see a love
everlasting in nature
and a devotion
I could want with no other.

When I think of you
I think of a love
as endless as space
and an adoration
that is mine for you.

You remind me of
the beauty of a rain
on a hot summer day
and the tenderness
of a snowfall in winter.

And I love you
with everything
I have to give,
with every part of me
whether together or apart.
