As I sit here this Tuesday morning with my cup of Holiday Peppermint Coffee, I realize that it's been 4 months since I've been promising a coffee page, so I finally decided to start it. It probably won't grow as fast as some of my other pages, basically cause I don't have a many ideas for this page as I do for others. But as always, if anyone has any ideas, please, as always, email me. I always love email, and any ideas would be great. But for now, how 'bout a short paragraph about my love of coffee? Sound good? Here goes......
I started drinking coffee when I was about 3 or 4 (maybe younger.) I would go over to my grandma's house, and she would always make coffee for me and put half n' half in it, and she would feed me spoonfuls of it at a time. Also, when I spent the night at my other grandparents, I would get up at about 5:00 in the morning while my grandmother made coffee, and then we would go out onto her back porch and drink it together while the sun came up. I kinda lost interest during my elementary and junior high years, but when high school started, I started drinking on a regular basis. With high school came the opening of the Bean Counter, my town's ONLY decent coffee shop, and my favorite place to go, but over Christmas break my senior year, it closed down. *sniff* I'm still sad. But anyway, I've found other means to supply my habit, and now I drink it every day, without fail. As you can see, coffee has been a major part of my life, and I'm sure I'll always drink it.
I guess some of you still don't understand why I drink coffee in the first place. Well, I don't know how to explain it. It just tastes good!! I love the taste and the smell of coffee. And it's comforting in a way, to have your favorite mug of your favorite java sitting beside you as you go about your day. And there are so many different ways to fix it that I can't imagine anyone saying they don't like it no matter how it's fixed. There's regular black coffee, coffee w/ creme and/or sugar, cafe latte, cafe mocha, cappuccino, espresso, frappuccinos, and all kinds of flavors and brews and strengths. So how could anyone not like it no matter how it's fixed? Oh, and I have to make one point: DECAF IS NOT REAL. I don't care what ANYONE says, it is not real coffee. A great reason to drink coffee is for the buzz it gives you (as you'll see on my next page). If it doesn't have it, it's not real. Sorry. That's how it is, folks. I don't care if it supposedly tastes the same, it's not real. Don't let anyone convince you that it's the same thing, cause it's not. Real Coffee People Drink Real Coffee. That's all for now.
