I want to share my favorite Novena with you. A Novena is a prayer that is said for nine straight days at the same time each day. It is to my Patron Saint, St. Jude.
Novena to St. Jude
Saint Jude, glorious apostle, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the man who betrayed our Saviour has caused you to be forgotten by many. The Church, however, invokes you as the patron of many things despaired of;
Pray for me that I may receive the consolations And the help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly ………….
I particularly ask you to obtain for me from God …………..
May I, by imitating your love and humility find true peace in my life and perfect resignation to the will of God.

The following is an adaptation of the Novena to St. Jude that I sometimes pray.
Prayer to St. Jude
Most holy apostle, St. Jude,
Faithful servant and friend of Jesus,
Pray for me who am so despaired
In this hour of great need.
Bring visible and speedy help for
I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude,
To be ever mindful of this
Great favor. I will never cease
To honor you as my most special,
Most powerful patron. Amen.

Prayer to the sick
Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of
Sick, we turn to You in this time of illness. O Dearest
Comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and
Sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace
And strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we
Place our worries in Your hands. We place our sick
Under Your care and humbly ask that You restore
Your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the
Grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that
Whatsoever You do, You do for the love of us. Amen.
