Dear Nanny :-)I love you and miss you something awful.
You and Papa were the roots of my tree.
See how big it has grown.
See how you have helped me learn to be free.
I wish you were here now for me to share
All the fun things we used to do.
Catching the rain from the roof,
And baking cookies.
Thank you for trying to help and protect us.
I thank you for it bunches.
It seems like when I am scared
Down from heaven you come.
I can feel your warm safe hugs
And see your beautiful smile.
I can even hear you say again,
If I can't do it for you,
Then I will get it done.
I think you would be proud of me
And what we have been able to become.
Thank you, Nanny, for the love you
Unselfishly and lovingly gave.
I know in my heart that will one day meet again.
Until then, please help me to be as strong as you.
