Yeah, I know what you are going to say. "she's gothic, ohmigod she's a Marilyn Manson freak!!!" Wrong. I hate, despise and abhor Manson with a vengence. They pretend to be gothic, all the while spreading the wrong message about Goth. Goth is not evil, satanic or wrong. Goth is another way of looking at the world. A slightly more bitter way. Not every Gothic person is a vampire. A lot of Goths are interested in the vampiric subculture, as I have to admit, I think it's interesting. But, I don't drink blood. I'm an interested bystander in the vampiric way of life. I'm still a bit too tame for that stuff. What I am interested in is the romantic, renaissance-like phenomenon that has hit our culture.
When I'm not going to school and wearing jeans and stuff, I love the long, flowing velvet dresses or anything long and flowing for that matter. I already have pale skin and don't need to enhance that. I love long silver chains with crosses, ankhs or pentacles on them. I have a collection of those. I guess I really tuned into Goth at a time when the world had convinced me that I could either like Gothic stuff or become a glitter girl. The choice was obvious. I guess it was clear from the start that darkness was more interesting than day. I was a cynical, sarcastic child.
One of my favorite barbie games was "abduction by Raoul". Raoul was my name for my vampiric barbie. I thought that Ken was too innocent so I colored his hair black, his eyes blue and his lips red. It was a huge improvement. I never dreamed of becoming a cheerleader or a guy magnet. I dreamed of becoming a dancer in an elite, esoteric dance company, somewhere in the depths of Romania. Okay, so that isn't really Gothic, but you have to admit that it's different from a normal 11 year old's point of view. The first "Gothic activity" I ever got involved in was Wiccanism. NO IT'S NOT SATANISM. Okay, it is an earth loving religion that worships a Goddess. We just happen to be confused with Satanism. After that I made of a couple of vampiric friends. I used to think that vampires were evil, but I guess that they aren't. no one is evil if you believe in what you do. If you are a devoutly Christian/Catholic/Lutheran/Baptist/any denominational person, please don't send me messages about the good of Christ. I go to school to get that.
I'll keep updating my story, but this is probably too much for you for now anyways.
