this didn't happen to me but it could have. it happened to a friend of mine. she had just made a really gorgeous new site. unluckily, you can't see it anymore. she was forced to take it offline. her site name was *sparkles*
soon after she had put it up, she found a site that looked just like it, said it was created the same day and everything. even had the same stuff to join. she tried asking this person to take the stuff off but got some really bitchy replies. this person also set all her "friends" to email my friend with mean messages about how SHE had copied this other person. my friend was so harassed that she took her page offline. maybe this was the easy way out but it shouldn't have happened at all.
