Never a disappointment! Casey Claybourne writes with a wild imagination and turns your average bloke into quite a hero. "A Spirited Seduction" is a tale with a ghost, a rake of a viscount, and a plain young woman in need of a teacher in the mastery of seduction.....

Sabrina Simmons is in quite a predicament. The mortgage is due on her family's home. Her mother died, then her father, leaving Sabrina and her two brothers, thirteen year old Andrew and eight year old Theodore, without a penny to their name. A well-known rake, Viscount Richard Colbridge has moved to the area and expressed a desire to own their property. Sabrina, a very plain young woman, develops a crazy plan to seduce Colbridge. If she can seduce him, maybe he will not kick them out of their home. Only one thing stands in her way - she hasn't the foggiest idea how to go about seducing a man, much less a notorious rake like Colbridge.

Sabrina goes to her library for help. She has a love of books and hopes to find some answers in them. But after hours of searching, she pleas for someone to help her. Much to her dismay, a lady of the evening, or rather the ghost of Madam Nell de Nuit shows up, floating in mid-air, ready to assist Sabrina with her plan.

Sabrina and Richard have a surprise meeting - after Sabrina has jumped into Severn River in order to avoid a bump on the head. Spouting words of Horatio and Plato, Richard is immediately intrigued by the drowned water nymph. Once she realizes who the man that has caught her all wet, Sabrina panics. Has she ruined her chances at attracting Colbridge and ultimately seducing him?

After their departure, Sabrina run's to Nell for help. Nell's ideas on how a woman should act to attract a man are a bit strange - but being the owner of an old whore house, well, you can imagine what kind of ideas she comes up with. At the second meeting of Richard and Sabrina, Richard is shocked to see the changes in her appearance and actions. Where is the intellectual woman he met standing in the middle of the river?

Onward they go.... this story was fun and extraordinary. As usual, Ms. Claybourne has written a hit!

A wonderful story. Enriching and wildly captivating. Casey Claybourne is a wonderful author full of fascinating ideas and supreme talent for writing. "A Ghost Of A Chance" was a joy to read. I couldn't put it down until I turned the last page. The characters were strong and absolutely delightful.

Daphne Harkwell has been interested in Marquess Ian Lindley for a long time. He has never paid her any mind, much to her dismay. Then one day, her dream comes true -- he wants to marry her. She knows that it isn't because he is attracted to her, but she'll take him all the same.

Ian has made a deal to get back Ash Park from Daphne's family. He'll marry Daphne and in return Ash Park will be returned to him. Following the wedding ceremony, Isadora Harkwell, Daphne's mother, meets with Ian. I don't want to disclose too much here but, they have words and as a result - Ian leaves without a word and Isadora ends up dead.

Now, Isadora is not out of the picture. She has become a ghost who must do a good thing in order to go to heaven. Now, what good thing could that be? Well, she has to help a son-in-law that she despises fall in love with her daughter. It happens to be the last thing she wants to do, but realizing she has already erred her daughter by meddling, she decides she'd really like to go to heaven after all.

On goes the paranormal aspect of "A Ghost Of A Chance." Isadora continues to meddle only hoping for a different ending than she'd previously wanted. Throw in this pot an unwanted mistress, a wimpy steward, a strong heroine, a likeable hero and you are sure to laugh at the series of antics that occur as this story unravels.

Her family consists of only her Aunt Beverly. This strange woman is believed to me mentally ill. It becomes quite clear to all that Godfrey (Nick) has changed. There are many things haunting Godfrey's past and now Nick is having to atone for them. He uses the loss of memory to gain as much knowledge as possible of his horrible past. As time begins to heal the many wounds he has caused, Nick and Anna fall in love.
