Harlequin Love & Laughter

Hannah Jansen is in town to attend a lingerie buyer's convention. Holt Janson is in town to secure financing for expanding his ranch. Add in several other conventions in town and you have no extra rooms at the inn! It's a situation waiting to happen!

Hannah Jansen (with an e) and Holt Janson (with an o) are thrown together when their reservations were mixed and because of their last names, were booked into the same room. After checking with the front desk and checking with other hotels, they decide that the logical thing to do would be to go ahead and share a room, after all they are both adults. They try to overlook their immediate attraction to each other - after all, Hannah has never been attracted to or felt attractive to any male before, and Holt has a woman friend in town that he plans to spend significant time with. He even asks Hannah to make herself scarce for a few hours the second evening so that he can entertain his lady lawyer friend in their room for some mutually satisfying relaxation.

Now is that jealousy that Hannah is feeling when Holt mentions his lady friend? Why should she be jealous? She has only known Holt for 24 hours. But there it is, she admits to herself that she is attracted to him, but also believes that it could go no where. After all, he has a ranch in Montana - a thousand miles from her home town. Holt is having similar feelings for Hannah. He finds that he isn't as attracted to his lady friend as he once was - especially since he met Hannah.

What follows is amusing enough to cause one to chuckle away while trying to find out how all this will end. The stunts Hannah pulls to publicize her budding lingerie business are enough to cause you to laugh out loud. Holt also comes through with some funny, non-characteristic stunts when he thinks Hannah might be getting to know a salesman too well. I found this book entertaining and enjoyable. Although the end is as predictable as they come, the journey to the end is a fun read.
