To my knowledge this is the second story in the series called "The Brubaker Brides." Quite fun and positively thrilling is this story of Mac Brubaker.

Mac has fallen head over heels in love with Ella McCloskey one of the kitchen maids on his father's ranch. She has fallen for him as well, but a sudden taste of reality scares her off. She thinks she must have gone crazy to have married Mac so suddenly like that. What could she possibly been thinking?

Having searched far and wide for her, the investigator Mac hired finally finds her..... Mac takes off hoping to bring her home.

Ella had settled in a little town about and hour away from Mac working in a "greasy-spoon." When Mac discovers her, well, she's very obviously -- pregnant.

Just barely getting over the shock of finding his wife pregnant -- Mac has to deal with delivering his own baby.

There is one surprise after another - and you just can't miss this crazy tale. Once again, Ms. Zane has a great sense of humor.

As far as series romances go, I haven't been purchasing too many of them lately. Not because I don't like them, but after a while I get the feeling that I'm reading the same thing over and over. Now, here's my exception: I have specific authors that I watch for and do not hesitate to buy a book that they've written. Carolyn Zane is one of those authors. If I find one of her books, I snatch it right up. I don't think twice, nor do I even take time to read the title or back cover.

Recently, I picked up "His Brother's Intended Bride" at the used book store and was excited to find another one of her stories to enjoy. Ms. Zane writes with a classic sense of humor that a reader is bound to enjoy. I don't see how one couldn't laugh through this story (or any of her others.) Her writing style is unique and definitely superb. If you want to see the best side of series romances, buy one written by Carolyn Zane.

Hollie Ferguson is visiting the Brubaker Ranch for the summer, enjoying a much needed vacation. Everyone is estatic when she and Mac Brubaker become engaged. Or, well, at least that's what they want everyone to think . . . . But, putting a cramp in the entire situation is Mac's brother Buck, who can't seem to keep his eyes off of Hollie. When Mac is unexpectedly called away, and can't tell anyone why, Big Daddy Brubaker asks Buck to fill in for his big brother and keep Hollie company.

Well, to say the least, this isn't a simple task. The sparks are flying between them from the first instant they are together. Buck tries to keep it foremost in his mind that the beautiful Hollie belongs to his brother and Hollie would like to tell Buck the truth, but she promised Mac she would keep their secret during his absence. A promise that is becoming increasingly hard to keep.

An absence that is partially explained to the readers --- through Hollie's replay in her mind of Mac's conversation to her before he left --- will have your mind whirling with ideas . . .

So, take my advice, look for "His Brother's Intended Bride." I looked to see if it was available at Barnes and Noble on the Internet, which it was, and I bet that Amazon.com would have it too. To me, this one would be worth the postage and handling (luckily, I didn't have to do that.)

Carolyn Zane's "It's Raining Grooms" is a cute and crazy story about two people in love.

Carolyn Zane did a wonderful thing when she wrote "Marriage in a Bottle." If you are looking for a book full of humor and want to laugh a lot, you need to pick up a copy of this novel. I suggest you find yourself a comfortable, secluded spot to read yourself into a giddy mood.

Hayley Douglas is caught in a rut. She has no serious male companionship in her life and is spending her 27th birthday alone. Well, only until she finds a mysterious, barnacle covered bottle on the beach. From that moment on, her life is hum-drum no more. This gorgeous guy, calling himself GT, (he says this stands for Genie, Third Class), is claiming he can grant her seven wishes. She believes this to be a practical joke thought up by her friends for her birthday. Who else would send a handsome hunk to her, claiming to be her genie?

Hayley uses some of her "wishes" hoping to find her perfect soul mate. Oh, GT tries hard enough, but can't seem to get the guys just right for Hayley.

It doesn't take long for GT and Hayley to realize that they would love to spend the rest of their lives together. There are a few things that make that impossible for them. One, the contract GT signed binding him to life as a genie for eternity can not be broken. Secondly, there are rules a genie has to follow and falling in love with one's mortal client is a very serious infraction of those rules. And lastly, breaking his contract impacts more than himself, it would spell disaster for other parts of the world when moons and stars begin to cross each other.

That's it! If I go on any longer, I'll end up ruining this story for you. It's light-hearted and extremely funny. I insist you pick up a copy. I know you will enjoy it!
