Here is the story about Rejar the brother from Lorgin known from "Knight of a Trillion Starts". Rejar is a very special being - a sharpe-changer and he can transform his human body into the form of a cat.

At the end of "KOATS" you could read that Rejar had entered one of the tunnels to let the shimalee disappear. Here starts his story ... he drifts in a whirlpool and suddenly he starts to fall so he transforms. With lightning he lands in a coach with two women inside, Lilac Devere and Lady Agatha Whumples. Lady Whumples gets hysterical when she sees the black cat sitting in her coach, but Lilac is fascinated by her new pet. Because Rejar doesn't know where he is he decides to investigate this land in the form of the cat first. Lilac takes him home with her.

It turns out that this is Regency England. Rejar can't return home because he has not the ability to open a tunnel like his brother Lorgin. He hopes that his mentor Yaniff will find him soon. In the beginning Rejar thinks London is a terrible place. There are so many poor people on the streets and the nobilities hoards their wealth. But, together with Lilac all is different. He is strongly attracted to the obstinate young woman. To have an explanation for his appearance as a human he claims to be a prince from the far away country Russia.

This is how he appears in society. With his abilities he makes Lord Byron to his friend and with his help he gets clothes because always when Rejar transform he is naked. At once he starts to court Lilac, but the young woman is not interested in the goodlooking "prince". So at night Rejar guards her as Rejar the cat and at day he tries to get her attention as the prince.

In the meantime, Yaniff has discovered Rejar and Lorgin comes to take him home. Curiously, he doesn't want to go back home. Rejar wants to stay longer on Earth to continue his love hunt for Lilac. But this is more difficult than he can imagine because Liac doesn't want a husband.

Lorgin can't let his wife alone who excepts their first child so Traed, their brother-in-the-line is sent to Earth to take care of Rejar. Yaniff has foreseen that he will get in trouble.

With a trick Rejar is able to marry Lilac. He has found out that in Regency time the woman will first get approchable when they are married, not before. But this also does not solve his problems because his woman isn't in love with him.

Am amusing story but totally different from what I have imagined. It is a pity that planet Aviara and its inhabitants are mentioned so rare. The story ends with an exciting finish and you forgive the author the sometimes nerve-racking discussions of their heros.

Wow - what a book! I am totally enthusiastic!

On this day it looks like all goes wrong for Deana Jones. First, she was fired from her job then she sat in something wet and smelling, her car was parked by two other cars so she couldn't leave the parking lot and only God knows why she bought this strange necklace in this much more stranger shop. Finally, at home, after that terrible day she wants to relax with a cup of coffee but what is this man doing on her couch? Long golden hair, a cape with a lot of strange symbols on it and with lavender eyes. He doesn't look like a burglar. Then Deana knows: a friend made a joke with her because on the next day she wants to visit a science fiction convention. But why must this unknown man claim to be an alien with the name Lorgin ta'al Krue from planet Aviara, star system Tau Hydra, knight of the Charl?

Lorgin is traveling through time and space on a very special mission. He doesn't know why he stopped here by this woman -- on planet Disney World. This is what Deana told him because she couldn't believe he is an alien. But Lorgin can prove his statements. He claims to be her protector. What should Deana do with this man? The travel to the convention has been booked for months so she has to take him with her.

Of course, there happens a lot of embarrassing situations when Lorgin uses the restrooms at the airport or then he causes turbulences between the flight because he has the Power of the Four. That means powers over earth, wind, water, and fire. And later also at the convention -- in the evening when Deana wears her new necklace he celebrates a strange ceremony in his alien clothes and then he travels with Deana into another universe.

Here on Ryka twelve Lorgin wants to continue his search for the differences in time and space. And another shock waits for Adeeann (this is the name Lorgin gave her) then she finds out that she is married with Lorgin now because in this strange ceremony she took his blade and gave it back to him. And she had worn the Shimalee (the necklace) which has magical power and it helped Lorgin to return to his world. Here on Ryka twelve they also meet Yaniff, Lorgins mentor and teacher and Rejar, his brother who is a sharpe-changer who can transform his human body into a cat.

Like Lorgan had to learn a lot of new things on earth Deana must find her way in her new life. She finds out that people travel from one planet to another through time/space tunnels. Together all four continue the search.

Because Lorgin is a very good looking and sexy alien, soon Deana becomes his real wife. But there is one thing that she can't believe, that she should be the right woman who has magical powers over the Shimalee.

All four have to overcome a lot of hair-raising adventures till they find the bad guy.

An absolutely fantastic book! I can't wait to read Rejar the story about Lorgins brother. Dara Joy wrote a wonderful story. It has been long ago since I laughed out loud or that I have sighed and wished the story would never end while reading.

Chloe Heart had loved John, Viscount Sexton all of her life but he was a rogue and a scoundrel. She knew if she had any chance at all with him, she'd have to beat him at his own game. With this in mind she devised a most ingenious plan for doing this.

Chloe decided to ask John to marry her because they were best friends and he could help her with her large fortune and land. She also told him he could teach her all he knew about seduction and after a certain length of time, they could go their own ways to pursue their enjoyments. She never mentioned love because she knew that would scare him off and he would never agree to the marriage. She knew there was a lot at stake but thought it would be worth it in the end.

John decided to take Chloe up on her offer so he could protect her. He didn't agree with the part about their going their own way later but decided he'd figure that out when the time came. His uncle and her grandmother were very pleased and hurriedly made arrangements to marry them off to each other as quickly as possible before either of them had time to think things through.

All of this takes place during the time the nobles are being sent to the guillotine in France. Suddenly, French nobles are arriving at Chloe's house and telling them that they were saved by The Black Rose. No one knew who The Black Rose was but he arrived just in time to save certain nobles from the guillotine. The nobles that he saved just happened to be friends of Chloe and her grandmother.

Picture this if you will. John and Chloe are newly weds. They have John's uncle and Chloe's grandmother, several guests from the wedding and all of these French nobles at their home. This made for many hilarious scenes in this book.

Dara Joy has done it again. This book is funny and entertaining. I couldn't put it down until I finished it down to the very last page.

This book started "way out there" for me. It is about a man who is from another planet who comes to Earth in the form of a cat, called a Familiar. He hooks up with Lilac, the heroine. During the day, while he acquires knowledge of the area and his surroundings, he is in cat form and during the night, while Lilac is asleep, he is human form, snuggled up next to her.

Well, he falls in love with Lilac and marries her unbeknownst to his people. He then tries to tell Lilac about himself . . . the cat self and his transformations. She doesn't believe him. They go around and around with this for awhile. Then she gets sick and he transforms himself through her body to make her well again. This draws the life force out of him. But, a leader from his planet hears of this and comes to his rescue . . . and saves him.

Lilac finally realizes Rejar is telling the truth about himself and they are going off to live on his planet. The book started off slow and unbelievable for me. Then it started to steam up a bit. The love scenes are what made me give this book a 4.0. The plot was just too hard to believe. If you like steamy love scenes this is a great book for that.
