Jolie Duval needs a job, well, she needs to keep it for thirty days to finally receive her inheritance of a few million dollars. She doesn't have trouble getting a job, it's just keeping it that seems to be difficult.
Mike Kramer needs a wife. He's after some diamonds, to steal them or recover them you'll have to read it yourself to find out. To get close to the diamonds he needs a wife to act as the cook on yacht. To keep from beingfound out, the marriage can't be fake, it has to be real.
From one calamity to the next, Mike finds himself cleaning up Jolie's messes. From the apartment to the yacht to a deserted island, one mess after another carries them through the story. You'll find yourself laughing at Fifi the dog and Mr. Longfellow and his paper airplanes.
Being in such close quarters has Mike and Jolie noticing and feeling their attracttion to the other in a more than pretending way. Is Mike good enough for Jolie and can Jolie prove her worthiness to her grandfather, or more importantly, to herself.
Debbi Rawlins writes with a creative pen. Quite a cute story she tells in "Love,
Marriage, and Other Calamities."
