If you are a fan of Fern Michael's Texas Series then her new Vegas Series are a must read! Vegas Heat is the second in a trilogy. The first was Vegas Rich which came out in mid- 1996. Her last will be entitled Vegas Sunrise.
Fern writes very realistically. She is a no baloney kind of writer! She makes you laugh and cry. She really describes well what her characters are experiencing.
This book is all about the relatives to the Coleman family of the Texas Series. It is all about love lost and found. About love and hate. About jealousy and greed. It's about life!
Fanny Thornton, Ash Thornton and Simon Thornton are the main characters in this book. Fanny was once married to Ash. Their marriage produced four children. When Ash 's selfishness was too hard to take Fanny divorced him. This divorce occurred in the first book. She thinks she is madly in love with Simon. Simon pressures her to marry him or he is leaving. She waits too late and Simon leaves. They are eventually reunited but there marriage is not happy. Simon wants to possess Fanny. She becomes alienated from her children. Eventually she wakes up and goes back to Vegas to see her family.
That is just a sample of what is going to happen to Fanny. I will tell you she meets up with a mysterious man by the name of Marcus Reed who changes her life completely.
The book was fast moving and captivating! (Vegas Rich is now in paperback)
