I can recommend this book to all who are interested in the world of the beautiful and rich people.
Devin Bradshaw is beautiful, successful and married with a man who gives her the lifestyle that she wants. Paul Bradshaw is 30 years older then his wife, but this hadn't mattered much to them both at the beginning of their marriage. Now Devin can't close her eyes without thinking she is only a trophy for her husband. She is a symbol of his power and success.
After a failed party in their house Devin decides to leave her husband. Because she is sure that Paul would talk this "idea" out of her head if he gets the chance she wants to talk with him immediately.
Nearly half an hour after that meeting Paul Bradshaw is dead and his family rush at his heir: his million dollar company of clothing.
His brother Sam has together with a trust fund and Devin the rights to vote and to make decision. But he doesn't wants Devin in the company and Devin does not want to give Sam her rights. So she blackmails him to give her PT, a part of the company where she could show that she could do very good work.
It starts a fight over the power with a lot of nasty tricks and intrigue. When more murder happens and Devin is accused to be the murderess of her husband the situation is out of control. But also the life of Devin is threatened because whoever the murderer is, he wants to remove every witness.
Extremely suspenseful and secretetive, exactly what I love in a story. I found the book terrific!
