Nora Roberts has a wonderful gift for writing stories. And also in this book the reader has the feeling the characters are really "alive".
Nick LeBeck is a successful musical writer and for years he is a member of the Stanislaski family clan. He never has forgotten what this people did for him. He was a member of a street gang as a teenager and his stepbrother Zack set him free from there. He is the reason why Nick today is a famous musical writer. Now Freddie, his kissing cousin appears in his life. Freddie has been in love with Nick for ten years now and she wants to marry him. She is now 24 and she believes it is time for her to show Nick her love.
Freddie wants to be Nick's partner. He should compose and she wants to write the text to his music. She is very talented for this job. Nick recognizes that and so he agrees to work together with her. This was only the first step and Freddies plan to win Nicks heart. The next is to get a flat in New York and let him know that she isn't his little cousin anymore.
Freddie comes from a rich family and Nick can't accept this because in his youth he was poor. So will they be able to have a common future like it is Freddies dream?
An amusing story in Nora Roberts "Those Wild Ukranians" series. The other stories are: Taming Natasha, Falling for Rachel and Convincing Alex.
"Falling for Rachel" is an exciting, sensual story about a lawyer defending a "bad boy" and falling in love with his big brother.
Rachel Stanislaski is a public defender. Her newest case involves the burglary done by Nicholas LeBeck. Nicholas has gotten
involved with a gang. He doesn't like what he's doing but the humiliation of backing out is more than he can handle.
Zack Muldoon is Nicholas's step-brother. He wants to do whatever he can to help Nick straighten himself out. But falling in love
with the lawyer with the sexy legs isn't something he planned on. He makes no beans about being attracted to Rachel and his
displays of affection will send shivers up your spine.
The remaining characters are a lively bunch and the sensuality found in this story is above and beyond any I've read in a long time.
This is a second Roberts story for me. With Montana Sky being the first I wasn't quite sure what to expect of this one. Lets say, I
was not disappointed in the least.
Frederica Kimball is a lyricist. She puts words to music in a way that not many people can do. She has moved to New York with
three things in mind. Leaving behind West Virginia, Freddie hopes to "find the perfect place to live, become a success in her
chosen field, and get her man."
Her man is Nick LeBeck, her kissing cousin. She has waited ten long years for him to fall in love with her and she doesn't plan on
waiting any longer. She sets her seduction plan into action.
Nick can't believe the changes in Freddie. She has obviously become a woman and he fights his attraction for her to no end. What
would the family think if he were to make a pass at their little Freddie?
Freddie finagle's a job working with Nick as his partner writing songs for a musical. He is amazed at her talent and has an awful
time admitting she is as good as she says she is.
As the book progresses, everyone in the family is aware of the love growing between these two characters, except for Nick. He
just doesn't get it.
This is a charming story involving the love a life time coming true. You're sure to enjoy it. Nora Roberts exercises her writing
abilities to the fullest.
