Regency

Genevieve Quince is eighteen years old and her family has exploited her. She has to work for them as a servant and doesn't even get enough to eat. When they are on a trip to Paris she takes their money and flees to her neglected estate. She wants to open a pension there and so she meets Lord Miles Bradford, a rake who lives on the next estate.

Miles is fascinated by the enchanting new neighbor, but he hates the thought that she wants to open a pension. So he tries to change her mind, but nothing really works. Miles soon finds out that he wants to marry Genevieve, but she always thinks he wants her as a mistress. So every time when Miles tries to make a proposal to her, her answer is no because she thinks he wants the other thing from her.

This is in my eyes another story which the world doesn't need. It was to incredible, confusing, and badly written. I can't imagine that an eighteen year old woman can live alone on her estate with no guardian and no servants. Sorry too unbelievable for me.
