Passion-filled romance, emotional from the onslaught, and touching throughout is "With This Child" by Sally Carleen. Strong characters who crawl right into your heart. Writing about such a difficult and sensitive topic is pulled off without a hitch by Ms. Carleen.

Sam Woodward loves his daughter Kyla, now almost 13. His wife died when Kyla was only five. He has no idea that beautiful Marcie Turner is about to turn his world up-side-down.

A mysterious letter arrives revealing to Marcie that the baby she buried almost thirteen years ago was not her baby at all. The lies begin to surface and Marcie must find her way through this bizarre situation.

Katie Logan desperately wants to gain custody of her nephew Nathan. After her sister and brother-in-law's death, Katie's parents were awarded custody of the boy. Katie knows more than anyone that his home life will not be a grand one. She has to get Nathan out of that house before they stifle every bit of life he has.

Katie also knows that being single is not going to work toward her advantage. She sets out to convince everyone involved that she is newly married. Now, all she needs is a husband. Then maybe she will win custody of Nathan.

Private detective, Travis Ryder, has been hired by Katie's father to spy on her and discover whatever negative things he can to assist him in winning the custody hearing.

Things go hay-wire when Katie discovers a strange man snooping outside a window of her house. Armed with a frying pan, she attacks the Peeping-Tom. Travis ends up with amnesia and . . . . . a wife. Travis becomes the loving husband Katie needed, but how long can she go on carrying such guilt on her shoulders.

Sally Carleen writes a cute romance, filled with suspense from the beginning to the end. I was on the very edge of my seat for the 2 hours it took me to read this story.

Questions:

I wanted to know if Nathan would get to live with his loving aunt . .

I wanted to know what would happen when Travis remembered who he was . . .

And mostly I wanted Travis and Katie to be together. They are a perfect match even if Travis doesn't know it yet.
