"Unexpected Mommy" is a fast-paced, fun romance. Jenny Runningbear Adams is a school teacher in the town of Los Pinos, which is located in West Texas. As a teenager she moved to this town with her mother. When her mother fell in love and married, Jenny was adopted and had the name Adams added onto her name. So, it only seemed right to come back to the small town and teach the children there.

Chance Adams has a promise to keep and he plans to do it. His father, Hank Adams, has died and on his death bed made Chance promise to get back White Pines, the family ranch he was kicked off of many years ago. So, Chance and his son Petey move to Los Pinos with every intention of stealing back White Pines from his father's brother, Harlan Adams ---- who just happens to be Jenny's stepfather.

Petey ends up in Jenny's class in school. He makes a reputation for himself by causing lots of trouble. This is how Jenny and Chance meet. Of course, Chance knows that Petey is headed for trouble and he hasn't really kept him in line like he should but something about having this beautiful woman telling him that his son is a troublemaker, well, it doesn't sit well with Chance.

But, as all romances go, there are reason's for everything and it doesn't take long for Jenny and Chance to be thrown together yet again. As they begin to feel something for each other, Jenny feels the pressure from her family to stay away from Chance, the long lost relative who just might try to take White Pines away from them.

It may take Chance a while to figure things out, but his priorities stay mixed up for a while before he realizes the right way things should be.

Like I said, it's a fun romance!
