Those of you who have read "Night Sins" part one of this story should not miss this sequel about the exciting story from the kidnapped little boy Josh.
"Night Sins" ended with the arrest of the "bad guy". Now it is prosecutor, Ellen North's, job to prove that a respected man was one of the kidnappers. This is a very hard job because it looks like the bad guy is too cunning for her.
Josh is returned home, but he doesn't talk because he has mortal fears. Ellen North gets threatened over her telephone and then another little boy is kidnapped. What kind of play is this? Where is the sense behind all that is happening? The police are overworked and it becomes harder for Ellen to find more proof.
And why is Jay Butler Brooks in town? He is a best-selling author who writes about true crimes. Who can you trust? This is a question that occupies Ellen the whole day. And the attempts on her life make it not easy for her.
All point to a real highlight and it looks like the game is lost for Ellen. Should really the evil win? Not in Ellen's opinion. She will fight till the end for the rights of Josh.
Warning: If you start reading this book you will not put it out of your hands till you have finished it.
A terrific story!

Genna Hastings lives in a peaceful town called Tory Hills. She works in a kindergarten classroom and loves to bake and cook. Genna has just returned from her vacation and what is the first things she sees?: pink plastic flamingos on the veranda of the neighbor's house. Additionally, her new neighbor J.J. Hennessy is just as unusual as his decorations.
J.J. is big and uncommonly sexy. He is the kind of man that Genna doesn't like - a football player. Jared, J.J., is fascinated by Genna and he decides to make her life a little bit happier.
Genna discovers that J.J. is a "normal" inhabitant because he does not want to lose his little daughter Alyssa. So, they get closer. But Genna only wants an affair - with no obligations and no links.
It is a hard job for J.J. to set free Genna from her old fears. But he would not be the man he is if he were to give up so fast.
This was one of Tami Hoag's earlier books. And I must say, her romances are
just as good as her new thrillers.

With the darkness comes the fear. One little mistake destroys the illusions of a peaceful town, Deer Lake, Minnesota.
Because of an emergency, Dr. Hannah Garrison forgets to call for her son Josh. When she finally remembers him, he has disappeared. What sort of person would kidnap Josh? There is only one strange message for the local police department, their only hint -- and the hunt begins, but where? Was it only one little mistake or was it a cold-blooded plan thought up by ONE madman?
A hard job for local sheriff Mitch Holt and the investigator Meagan O'Malley.
The town is afraid, people aren't what they seem, the pushy press and the conflict between the parents of the Josh, Hannah the popular doctor and Paul the solicitor. All that and the love story between Megan and Mitch makes this book into a sizzling novel.
A fiendish mixture of suspense and fear for a breathtaking read. A fiendishly good book like "Divine Evil" by Nora Roberts. You can't forget the story and I can't wait to get "Guilty as Sin".
Warning - Don't read the book in bed. You won't be able to sleep, you will see
moving shadows, and you start to wonder if all your doors and windows are
closed and locked.
