This is Trish Jensen's debut novel and what a debut it is. Darcy Welham is a klutz, plain and simple. She's also the bosses daughter. Her dad wants to sell his chain of restaurants and she doesn't want him to. So she decides to learn the restaurant business from the bottom up.
Michael Davidson is up for a promotion. The only thing he has to do is acquire Mr. Welham's chain of restaurants for the company he works for and he's assured the promotion. He also loves to make lists. This will get him into more trouble than anything he does.
From the minute Michael and Darcy meet, sparks fly. Michael tries his best to get Darcy fired and cannot understand why the manager won't fire her. She does everything wrong, especially to him. She spills things, breaks things, you name it, she's done it wrong. She does have a talent for putting the strangest ingredients together and making the most marvelous recipes that people love.
Finally, Michael finds out who Darcy is and then he starts to work on her so he can convince her to let her dad sell the restaurants to his company. What he doesn't plan on is that somewhere along the way he falls in love with her and she with him.
This book was delightful. I enjoyed reading it and look forward to reading Trish
Jensen's next book.
