Subject: Day Care

How dare you try to push your own believes in such a harsh way. If I was sitting here telling you that it is wrong to breast feed you wouldn't like it - but it's a personal choice.

Many families these days need the opportunity to work after having a child. If a family with a sole income struggles day to day with money, the child can sometimes miss out on the necessities, also being in an environment where the financial stress can be upsetting to the baby and parents. Day care is just like leaving your child with your mother or friend. As long as you choose your day care centre well and do a lot of research on the facility, then it might often be the best option for you.

One day, when your children are social outcasts, have no people skills and fail in society due to their inability to interact with others at a high level, then maybe you will re-think your ideas - being too late then of course for your children.

As long as both parents spend quality time at evenings and on weekends with their children, and pay them as much attention as they can, I think that they will grow to be as happy, healthy, intelligent and loving as any well looked after child. I would love to be able to spend all day with my child, but I have the other pleasure of knowing that my supporting our family financially, and being able to pay for outings, toys and not having to buy cheap and nasty clothing and food, is just as if not more important. My son loves and RESPECTS me as a mother probably more than yours does, especially after reading your web-site.

I love my son more than anything in the world. And if I thought for one minute that he wasn't getting the very best of care other than his mother could provide, then I wouldn't do it.

But the above is just my opinion, and I don't dare try to publically broadcast it. All decisions we as parents make are important, and people like yourselves make it harder for us to believe in our decisions. What 'another' does with his/her child is for the best in their eyes and shouldn't be left for comment by ignorant people like yourself.

Well, the day care topic is a hot one. People often are prevented from thinking deeply on it, because they feel judged and get defensive.
But, judging individual families is not worthwhile. Judging often cuts people off from one another. That is not the purpose of this site.

This site exists because parents cannot get good information about day care in the mainstream media. Caring parents can be led to believe they "can have it all", and are often stuck too deep when they learn for themselves that they been SOLD a pack of lies, and sacrificed the most profound needs of their precious children in the process.
