Rosie's Ramblings

August 9, 2002

Hello Out There,

I appologize for being late this month. School starts in just a few days and I have SO much to do. The first week of August passed in a flash. I am determined to complete this update today, so it is going to be extra short. I will try to make up for it another time.

I have been in the midst of a major housecleaning project. To honor all my hard work, my first addition is a Premiere Vacuum Cleaner advertisement. This is a tiny little needle book--about 2 by 3--with a nice mother daughter picture.

My final addition this month comes with a question. It is called The Wonder and it appears to illustrate a fairy tale. It has a king, a lovely maiden, doves, elves, and a looking glass. I have searched for this tale two different times and I have gotten nowhere. Can someone please enlighten me? This needle book is also tiny and is marked Austria on the inside. Help!

I was just looking at my website stats and noticed that 27% of my visitors during July came via another site called Sew Wrong. Of course I had to check it out...I am so glad that I did. The full name of the site is Sew Wrong - Mama Didn't Raise a Seamstress. It is a wonderfully informative, quirky site that I have just begun to explore. Sample articles include "Corset Boning" and "Funky Chicken Pincushion". Learn about sewing and laugh -- all at the same website. I want to send out a special thanks to Jennie for sending so many visitors my way.

That is all I have time for this month. Thanks for visiting and drop me a line sometime!

Rosie
