Rosie's Ramblings

June 1, 2001

Hello Out There,

This month I have written TWO new articles: What Are All Those Needles For? and How Needles Are/Were Made. Both of these are in response to questions I have received from visitors. I hope that you find them useful and enjoyable.

Speaking of visitors…I had one this month from ROMANIA! In appreciation of Oana’s delightful e-mail, I sent her a small package this week. I hope that she will enjoy “Sewing Susan” and “Happy Home”. Though they are common here in the USA, I bet they are a rarity where she lives. I have asked her to keep her eyes out for a Russian needle book…I hear they are wonderful!

I hope you have time to visit my new Fans page. I moved a couple of fan needle books from my alphabet pages, plus added several more. All of the ones up so far have matching packets and the insides of them boast “all gold eye, all stuck on cloth”. They are marked Germany. I know that a “Cleopatra” exists in this series, but it remains on my wish list.

I accomplished some housecleaning on my "Rosie's Favorite Links" page. I removed some links that were no longer working and added a couple of new sites that I have bookmarked on my computer. If anyone would like to suggest a site for me to add, be sure to let me know.

Again I'd like to thank all my visitors who took the time to write me during May. Your encouragement helps more than you can know.

Love,

Rosie

P.S. I think I've spotted another new/reproduction needle book. Go to my Reproduction IV page and see what YOU think.
