Old Man Moon
Hung in the night
Then, stars like diamonds,
Fell out of sight.
Evening so ebon
Covering the earth,
Snatching souls for Sir Nick
Then to light giving birth.

Soft, gentle zephyrs
Kissing the trees.
No mortal may know
What air spirits see.

Earth children sing out
Melodious songs
Carried in the winds
But none sing along.

Being of light
Sheds one salty tear
Drops in the sea.
A rainbow appears.

Sol's rays dance
Upon the lea
Spectrum blooms
Forest nymphs play.

Sea's waves laugh
Fish in them play
Caressing the shores
Leaving jewels in their way.

Green palms sway
In warm salty air
Almost like paradise
On a day so fair.

With such beauty 'round,
Why such sorrow?
Nature always knows
There is a tomorrow.

So much to be learned
Harmony so sweet
All can ours
If nature we meet.
