Cortny became my step-daughter in 1987.She first came into my life at age 2 in 1985.Yes it's true,she started out as a step-daughter but over the years as she has grown into one of the most beautiful,most intelligent young ladies I know.In that time she has also became my daughter and my best friend and I hope she feels the same way about me.
Cortny was born on March 23rd,1983.She is 16 years old,she has started dating.She has been in the school play the last two years,she is also in the High School Band for the past 6 years.She just went to state competition and won 3 silvers and one gold for directing.She will also be attending her first prom this year and is also drum major this year.She attends High School in northern Indiana where she also lives with her mom and step-dad and little brother Randy.She will soon be graduating and moving on to collage and start a brand new life all over agian.She plans to do something dealing with music.They grow up so fast and go out into the world on their own.As a parent you can only hope that you have done your best in raising your kids,to teach them right from wrong.To respect other people and their feelings.And of course all the facts of life.With Cortny I know those are all things we don't have to worry about.She's a very bright young lady and I know whatever choices she makes in life she will succeed.And no matter what it is in life that she does her mom and dad will always,always,be proud of her.

Hey baby,this is mom.I want you to know that you are a bright,beautiful,wonderful person,don't let anyone ever tell you anything different.You have a bubbly personality and a very sensitive heart that is very easily broken,like your father.Please baby don't just let people walk on you and hurt you always,be strong in mind and heart.You can do anything you want to do in life.And of course,one more thing,always,always remember.I will always love you and everything I do,I do it for you,from the bottom of my heart.All my love,Mom
