Our two buddies,

Czar is a 8 year old Eskimo (Spitz)and Terrier mix. He was an abused puppy and has required a lot of special Love and attention, which we have willingly given him. He has turned into a sweet and loving companion.

Czar displays the keen intelligence typical of a Spitz. He learns routines and patterns very quickly, usually even before Jeff or I intend for him to. He knows the sound of the computer being turned on or off and adjusts himself accordingly. He knows that when I come in from mowing the lawn is the most likely time he'll get a bath. As we were training Charlie Chan, putting him through his obedience paces, Czar would be a few paces away performing every exercise right along with Charlie. Czar likes to sleep in the bath tub or shower.

Charlie Chan is a 4 year old Shih Tzu (AKC) who only exists to give and receive love. He was provided with tons of love and affection and attention from the moment he was born. And he is convinced that the entire world is his friend. After we acquired Charlie, our Czar became a much more loving dog as well.

Jeff says that if Charlie Chan were human, he'd be a blond.

We refer to Charlie Chan as "The Pig-Beast." I never realized that not all little dogs are woossy dogs. Charlie Chan would face down a bear or an elephant if he felt it necessary. He may not have their physical strength and size, but he surely matches their bravery and courage. Charlie is apt to be found in the least likely places doing the most disreputable things. He loves mud and dirt and his favorite time to come give big sloppy kisses is when he's at his wettest and/or dirtiest. No home should be without a Shih Tzu!

Charlie's latest habit is to climb into the bathroom sink. We come home from work and find a dog curled up in the sink.

Riley is an 8 month old West Highland Terrier (AKC) commonly referred to as a Westie. Riley is the newest addition to our pack of wild dogs and is making hew way into our hearts. Czar and Charlie Chan are less enthused about this interloper but we know that in time they will come around. Riley is already showing us that she is well adapted to training.

Riley is a very, very busy dog who apparently has several items on her appointment book, most of which she is late for.

Westies are basically a white version of the Scotties. I know that technically there are more differences than that but for general purposes that description holds true. Check back for more pictures of Riley as she grows and develops.

	As you can readily see, Czar is a cool dog.
	If this isn't a picture of a pig-beast, I don't know what is.
	Here they both are together. In this photo they are trying to imitate good dogs. This is a role which they are not always successful in bringing to life.
	Czar is fond of drinking right from the water faucet. When Jeff and I try to wash our hands or shave we frequently have to contend with Czar.
