Dear Diary,

You know, after almost 750 diary entries I can't remember ever starting one with that title. Oh well, the diary has been running for what, about 5 years including interruptions in 1998 and 2004, so who knows.

So far this week has been ok. Early on Monday morning I had a meeting with my big boss, and covered a lot of ground with him. This was good, and it answered a lot of my questions, particularly regarding any extension to my employment. That day I had some students come into the lab and make up samples. They are really smart and dedicated brothers, and I'll be happy to keep hold of them as long as possible.

Tuesday I had a meeting with a guy from the Engineering Department about the use of their lithographic facilities. I would really like to learn lithography, but it is certainly not for the faint of heart, the sheer amount of information you can be immersed in is a flood.

Today (Wednesday) I woke up and got into work early. The morning was spent emailing and running samples and the afternoon was spent with the new students again. I went for a run in the late afternoon and I dropped by a seminar for free pizza. This evening I did my laundry and then washed my hair before talking to Bonnie for an hour or so. I really need to start planning what I'm going to need for my trip.
