A Woman Inside
by Rachael Millet

There's a woman inside me,
she's there all the time.
My conscience, my heart,
my soul, and my mind.

She's not in control,
but she knows when to take it.
She helps me get through,
when I think I won't make it.

She likes to look nice.
She's pretty and classy.
Sometimes she is playful,
and often quite sassy!

To her I give strength,
and confidence too.
She gives me compassion
and love that is true.

Together we make
such a beautiful team.
I know what is real,
she knows what's a dream.

I'm half of her mind,
she's half of my soul.
Two halves of one person,
together we're whole.

With the heart of a lady,
and the shell of a man.
There's a woman inside me,
she completes who I am.

Some Hope

Now I'm not saying, I want to die
But when I'm gone, they'll wonder why.
The kids you see, they don't know;
Indeed I can't, let it show.

It's our little secret, my wife's and I
I like to dress, in her own eye.
I like to dress, as a woman you see,
It's the way it is and always will be.

So when I die, I hope you bury me,
Dressed as I, feel I should be.
For when the future, comes to see,
Me dressed as a woman
It will be common.

Everyone knows, we all can
Dress as a woman or dress as a man;
We're all the same, you and me
Future generations will understand it to be.

So bury me down, in finery,
Just the way, I feel inside of me.
They'll all come, to take a look;
Like it all was in some old book.
The way it is, today I'm shamed;
Tomorrow though, it won't be the same!
